Lunch on-the-go is common in Park City!  We’re all so busy enjoying all of the fantastic outdoor adventures, shopping and relaxing, sometimes taking the time to sit down to a lengthy lunch is just not in the plan.  Here’s a list of some of the best sandwiches to sink your teeth in to, or shove in your backpack for a lunch break once you’ve climbed to the summit on your hike!

Back Door Deli Never Dissapoints

A great little spot to stop for a New York deli style sandwich, fresh made pasta salad, or a cup of soup is the Back Door Deli, located at 136 Heber Avenue.  A favorite sandwich of Park City locals is the #40, Brie, artichoke hearts, tomato, red onion, lettuce and cucumber all served up on a toasted sourdough baguette.  If you’re looking for something a little meatier, check out #41, the Hot Italian Ham!  Holy cow, this sandwich will knock your socks off!  Loaded with dry salami, Genoa salami, onions, banana peppers, tomato, roasted red peppers, lettuce, provolone, balsamic vinaigrette, and mayo all stuffed on to a sourdough baguette.  Whew!

Mahi Mahi Sandwich with Mango Salsa at Sammy’s Bistro

Aloha! Sammy’s Bistro, located at 1980 Bonanza drive, has one of the tastiest grilled Mahi Mahi sandwiches this side of the Rockies!  They start with fresh, grilled Mahi, and then add on a helping of cabbage, cilantro, house made mango salsa, and top it all with a tomatillo aioli all snuggled between a toasted Tuscan ciabatta roll.  Try a jalapeno beer along side for a perfect summer sandwich!

Sink Your Teeth in to Silver Star Cafe’s Turkey BLT

For a down-home basic, but incredibly delicious sandwich, check out Silver Star Cafe’s Turkey BLT.  Silver Star is located at 1825 Three Kings Drive in the Silver Star Village, which is great if you want to grab a bite after hiking or biking all morning on one of Park City Mountain Resort’s many trails.  The village is located right beneath a couple of trails, as well as directly behind the Park City Municipal Golf Course.  This fantastic creation is piled high with turkey breast, smoked bacon, and topped off with a cranberry-cherry relish and served on a toasted sourdough – it’s like a mini Thanksgiving feast for lunch!  when you’re done, relax on their outdoor patio, or head back up and explore a few more trails!

Create Your Own sandwich at Leger’s

A final stop on your Tour de’ Sandwiches should undoubtedly be Leger’s, located in Kimball Junction at 1612 west Ute Boulevard.  Leger’s has been creating amazing sandwiches since 1977, and is a true local’s favorite.  What’s so fantastic about Leger’s is that you are the Chef!  Create your own sandwich masterpiece using their fresh ingredients – they even have Liverwurst and Chicken cashew Salad!  Choose your bread, veggies and toppings, and you’ll have your own one-of-a-kind creation to nosh on!  Hang out in their casual deli and enjoy, or head back to your vacation home-away-from-home in Park City and enjoy!
