Lunch on-the-go is common in Park City! We’re all so busy enjoying all of the fantastic outdoor adventures, shopping and relaxing, sometimes taking the time to sit down to a lengthy lunch is just not in the plan. Here’s a list of some of the best sandwiches to sink your teeth in to, or shove in your backpack for a lunch break once you’ve climbed to the summit on your hike!
A great little spot to stop for a New York deli style sandwich, fresh made pasta salad, or a cup of soup is the Back Door Deli, located at 136 Heber Avenue. A favorite sandwich of Park City locals is the #40, Brie, artichoke hearts, tomato, red onion, lettuce and cucumber all served up on a toasted sourdough baguette. If you’re looking for something a little meatier, check out #41, the Hot Italian Ham! Holy cow, this sandwich will knock your socks off! Aloha! Sammy’s Bistro, located at 1980 Bonanza drive, has one of the tastiest grilled Mahi Mahi sandwiches this side of the Rockies! They start with fresh, grilled Mahi, and then add on a helping of cabbage, cilantro, house made mango salsa, and top it all with a tomatillo aioli all snuggled between a toasted Tuscan ciabatta roll. Try a jalapeno beer along side for a perfect summer sandwich!
For a down-home basic, but incredibly delicious sandwich, check out Silver Star Cafe’s Turkey BLT. This fantastic creation is piled high with turkey breast, smoked bacon, and topped off with a cranberry-cherry relish and served on a toasted sourdough – it’s like a mini Thanksgiving feast for lunch! when you’re done, relax on their outdoor patio, or head back up and explore a few more trails!
A final stop on your Tour de’ Sandwiches should undoubtedly be Leger’s, located in Kimball Junction at 1612 west Ute Boulevard. Leger’s has been creating amazing sandwiches since 1977, and is a true local’s favorite. What’s so fantastic about Leger’s is that you are the Chef!
