What’s one of the best things to do in Park City? Oh, of course, most of us will say the skiing, snowboarding or myriad summer activities; however, one great thing to do whether you are a local or a visitor is to enjoy one of the many drinking establishments the area boasts.

Sure, sure, we’ve all heard about Utah’s “weird liquor laws”, but they are not that complicated and certainly won’t stand in your way of finding your favorite liquid refreshment. Here’s a look at some of our favorites Park City breweries, starting with what we consider the best places to grab a beer.

Wasatch Brew Pub

Located at the top of Historic Main Street is the locally famous Wasatch Brew Pub. One of the earliest brewpubs in the state, Wasatch is known for its edgy marketing and very unique beer names and labels. As its website states, the company “continues to misbehave, turning out naughty beer after naughty beer year after year. You’ll find intriguing beers including Polygamy Nitro Porter, Devastator Double Bock, Evolution Amber Ale, and many others.

Squatters Roadhouse

Squatters prides itself in providing handcrafted beer and food that is produced using healthy and environmentally friendly products and ingredients. Within the establishment, you will find a warm, friendly, and inviting atmosphere where you can enjoy good food and good company. Some brew favorites include Chasing Tail Golden Ale, Take Out Rye IPA, and Outer Darkness Russian Imperial Stout.

Red Rock Brewery

The Park City location of the Red Rock Brewery chain is located in the heart of Kimball Junction and offers a great atmosphere, good food, and of course, plenty of beer options. Check out offerings such as classic Hefeweizen and Honey Wheat. Red Rock’s Artist Palette includes Paardebloem-Belgium Style Ale and Reve-Belgium Style Tripple.

Park City Brewery

The newest addition to local breweries is Park City Brewery, located on Rasmussen Road near Pinebrook. Their brews include Breaking Trail Pale Ale and Hooker Blonde Ale. While there is a top room at the brewery, you can find there beers at area restaurants such as at area restaurants such as Maxwell’s, Jupiter Bowl, and Mangia Pizza.

There are many other great drinking establishments throughout the Park City area including locals’ favorites such as The No Name Saloon and O’Shucks Bar and Grill.
