I’m sorry, but no one does the 4th of July better than Park City Utah!  If you haven’t visited Park City during this festive time of year before, you’ll want to do your best to hustle on up here for this year’s activites1  from military jet fly-over’s to pancakes in the park, it is truly a day-long celebration of our independence!

At dusk, the fireworks will begin!  Grab a blanket, a few snacks and beverages, and head over to the Park City Municipal Golf Course to snag a spot on the fairway, and get ready for an amazing fireworks show!  The fireworks are launched from Park City Mountain Resort, and the resort will be offering extended operating hours so you can fly down the alpine slide or dare to ride the zip rider late in to the evening from 10AM-9PM.

Cowboy up and Head Over to the Annual Oakley Rodeo!

There are other fun, family friendly activities going on in the area as well!  Beginning on Wednesday, July 4th and running through Saturday, July 7th, the 78th annual Oakley Rodeo and 4th of July celebrations will be taking place.  About a 20 minute ride out of Park City, Oakley is a lovely community that knows how to throw a rodeo! Events begin at 8PM nightly, and they have everything from bucking bronc’s to raging bulls – this is a true 4th of July tradition!  Yee haw!  A little local’s secret; head down the road about a half-mile to the Oakley Polar King, and round yourself up a delicious milk-shake or malt!

Enjoy the Utah Symphony at Deer Valley

Feeling patriotic? Deer Valley will be hosting their annual Patriotic Celebration on Saturday, July 7th beginning at 7:30PM.  Join the Utah Symphony for its annual celebration of all things American.  You’ll want to grab a blanket and a picnic, then sit back and enjoy an amazing performance by the symphony under the stars.  The symphony will perform all of your favorite American anthems from Souza Marches to famous film music.

If you just can’t wait to celebrate, canyons Resort has just what you’re looking for!  Their annual bash is always a popular event and includes live music, food vendors, and is topped off by a splendid display of fireworks exploding over the mountains!  The concert begins at 7:30PM in the Resort Village, with fireworks beginning at 9:30PM.  This event is free and open to the public.
