There are so many things to do around Park City during the holidays, but one favorite is to see the holiday lights! Here’s a look at some of the best places to see spectacular lights.

Main Street

Old Town Main Street in Park City is a wonderful sight to behold. The entire street is festooned with lights illuminating the area. Businesses as well are decked out with colorful lights. Strolling down the street will definitely bring out the holiday spirit.

The Badami House

In the Park Meadows at the Badami House, down from the MARC on Little Kate, you’ll find the Badami House and its wonderful display. This home includes a tribute to Craig Badami, with a silhouette of him skiing the gates.

There are also many homes and neighborhoods throughout the city that are lit up for the holidays. You can take a drive around the area and see some of the most beautiful private displays. Some of the neighborhoods that should be visited include Park Meadows, Thaynes Canyon and Prospector.

Silver Summit

At the intersection of Silver Summit Parkway and U.S. 40, is a fun-filled holiday display. This home is known for its fanciful animals including a zebra, a bison, goats and more. The display include Mater from the Cars movie, giant illuminated trees and other fun lights and exhibits. Make sure you bring your camera to capture the animals with the holiday light backdrop.

Christmas Street in Salt Lake City

Just a short drive from Park City, you’ll find Christmas Street. Located at 1500 east and 1735 South in the Sugarhouse neighborhood is this tiny cul-de-sac that earned its unofficial title more than 60 years ago, and it has been displaying holiday cheer since. The exhibition of lights is best experienced on foot, so slip on some warm socks and boots to stroll on “Christmas Street.”

Temple Square

At Temple Square located at 50 West North Temple in Salt Lake, you’ll find a wonderfully festive display of holiday lights. You’ll see lovely Nativity scenes and bright lights illuminating this Utah landmark. There are even free concerts from various musical ensembles throughout the season.

All of these wonderful holiday light exhibits are sure to bring the season’s spirit. Grab a cup of hot chocolate and go out and enjoy the lights of the holidays!
