If you are looking for a fun and fresh alternative to skiing or snowboarding in Park City, come out and go tubing!

Gorgoza Park

Gorgoza Park is a fun-filled treat for the whole family. The park offers seven tubing lanes that are all lift served. There’s no trudging up the hill with your tube in tow. There are three beginner lanes and four advanced lanes. There even a hill for the littlest snow tubers.

The kids will love the mini-snowmobiles that will let them enjoy some heart-pounding action. Kids will zoom around a groomed track atop snowmobiles that are just their size.

The smaller kids (6 and under) will love discovering Fort Frosty. This special area offers a 50-foot conveyor, a tubing carousel and many other fun snow features and activities.

The Park also offers a kid-friendly zone where tiny tots can learn to ski or snowboard on a mellow slope. The kids will ride a conveyor lift up and learn the finer points of sliding back down.

Soldier Hollow

Soldier Hollow is located near Midway in the Wasatch State Park and offers the longest tubing lanes in the state. The park has 1,200 foot lanes that are lift served. You can enjoy tubing during the day or at night under the lights. You will enjoy sliding down the hill to the tunes being broadcast over a sound system.

Soldier Hollow limits the number of tickets it sells each session to maximize your tubing experience. Because of this, you should call for reservations in advance.

Soldier Hollow also offers a wonderful cross-country skiing venue. The park was chosen as the “Best Olympics Legacy Venue” in 2004. You’ll find easy trails, as well as more challenging ones, such as those skied by Olympians during the 2002 Olympic Games.

The ski school offers beginner packages and scenic tours, as well as snowshoeing adventures. For those who truly want a thrill check out the Olympic Biathlon Experience. After some initial range instruction, you’ll be provided rifles similar to those used during the Olympics. Then you’ll head out on skis or snowshoes on a course that gets your heart rate up. Then you will get the chance to make five shots and experience the adrenaline of a true Olympic experience.
