While on vacation it is always fun to go out and find the best area activities. In Park City, skiing and other winter sports are always a favorite. However, there are times that vacationers and locals alike want to take part in some other sports such as tennis or golf. Luckily, our area is full of great recreation opportunities outside of those for which we are best known.
Basketball Courts
Many people enjoying going out and getting their heart rates up with a fun basketball game. You’ll find that you can find drop-in basketball games at the Park City Municipal Athletic & Recreation Center (PC MARC). At this fitness facility, you’ll find a full-sized basketball court within the facility’s gymnasium. You may be able to join a few people for an exciting game or two, or just bring along your group for some hoops fun.
Tennis
PC MARK also has plenty of options for those who want to get in a game or two of tennis. You’ll find both indoor (4) and outdoor (7) courts.
There are also tennis courts located at Willow Creek Park on Old Ranch Road. Additionally, Trailside Park has two outdoor tennis courts for your enjoyment. Many hotels and other lodging accommodation facilities also offer courts for their guests.
Area Golf Courses
One of the favorite summer activities in the area for visitors (and locals) is to get in a round or two at one of the fantastic golf courses. The area has many courses, for any level of golfer — in fact there are now 15 courses all within minutes of Park City. And you’ll love the wonderful scenery surrounding each of these courses!
