Locals and visitors to Park City certainly enjoy an active, healthy lifestyle any time of year.  Park City offers enough activities to keep your pulse rate up – there’s no need to be bored walking in place on the treadmill.  Plus, there are loads of healthful dining options to choose from to make your visit to Park City a testimony to your healthy, active lifestyle!

 

All Skill Levels will Enjoy Biking at Round Valley

If your looking for a mountain bike ride to get your blood pumping,  but still easy enough for a beginner, head on over to Round Valley for a morning or afternoon of exploring.  The system of trails can be made as easy or difficuLt as you like.  For an easy ride, check out “Matt’s Flat” ride, and for something a little more challenging, you might enjoy “Rademan Ridge”.  If you need to rent a mountain bike, there are plenty of expert outfitters in town that can assist you finding the right bike for your skill level.  White Pine Touring is an excellent option, and it’s located directly next to Park City’s Rail Trail; a super easy yet lengthy ride with little to no terrain changes.  The Rail Trail is 30 miles long, and begins right behind White Pine before traveling all the way to Echo Junction.  The Rail Trail is an old Union Pacific rail line, and winds its way though lovely scenery and is a family friendly way to explore the area.

After a morning on the trails, you’ll surely be looking for a healthy lunch to re-fuel yourself.  The Deer Valley Grocery Cafe is an excellent choice, offering delicious salads, paninis and soups to tempt your taste buds.  A favorite is the Asian Salad.  Consisting of napa slaw, sesame ginger vinaigrette, chili pickled cucumbers, crispy 5-spice wonton, and sumptuous house smoked wild salmon , you”re inner health nut will be thrilled!  If you like, make it vegetarian and substitute sweet soy ginger tofu! Another favorite is the turkey & bacon panini with sweet basil pesto, fresh baby spinach, and maple pepper bacon, all served up on a house made baguette – amazing!  What makes this dining experience a favorite of locals in the warmer months is their expanse deck overlooking a beautiful little pond and the slopes of Deer Valley.  You can certainly find me there most weekend mornings for breakfast sipping on a latte and enjoying some fresh berries and yogurt!

Another great way to boost your adrenaline while enjoying the amazing Park City area scenery is an ATV tour!  There;s no doubt this will amp up the excitement level of your stay!  This fast-paced adventure takes place in Wasatch State Park where you’ll see fantastic views all about while enjoying the fun of driving an ATV.  All Seasons Adventures offers single and double machines, and their equipment is safe and easy to handle.
