Taking place at Park City Mountain Resort. It’s year 12 for the TransWorld SNOWboarding TransAm we’re hitting more stops (and countries) than we ever have. As always, we’ll be progressing, trying new things, and having fun. That’s what this contest has always been about. We declare winners and it’s a good way to get your name out there, but it’s really about the comradery that builds out of everyone just snowboarding together and having a good time. We give away sweet prizes, play music, and build weird stuff that you might only ride one day in your entire life.Every Saturday in March – Spring Concert Series. Canyons Resort throws a spring bash every Saturday afternoon with free live music and plenty of food and drink options to keep the party going.
March 22th – Pond Skimming
Canyons Resort’s annual Pond Skimming Contest will be the first event of Spring Grüv. It’s one of those traditions that has been wild from the start. The Pond Skimming Contest is Canyons’ most popular party and is the true indicator that spring has arrived. Contestants must dress in costume (the funkier the better) as they attempt to cross a 100-foot pond on skis or a snowboard. The pond and the excitement happen at mid-mountain just outside Red Pine Lodge. Must be 10 years of age or older to enter.
