Park City Mountain Resort Benefit Day
Why is Park City Mountain Resort doing this? For the good cause of giving back to the community, which they are doing by donating all proceeds to the Park City Museum. This museum works to preserve, protect and promote Park City’s rich history and inheritance. Park City Mountain Resort is excited for another year of fundraising as they have raised over $550,000 since 2003 through this incredible idea, called Benefit Days. Proceeds for the last ten years have all gone to different non-profit organizations in the Park City area. This source of revenue for these organizations around the town is a large part of what helps support the amazing community and everything that makes it so great.
The president and general manager of the Park City Mountain Resort, Jenni Smith, tells that the Park City Museum was chosen as this years subject of donations because as the Mountain Resort celebrates their “Golden Anniversary” they wanted to give back to the place that works to keep their history alive. She says “We’ve shared a close connection with the Park City community for 50 years, and Benefit Days is a special way for us to give back.” The museum offers a way to look back and admire the illustrious history of Park City and that’s exactly what the Mountain Resort will be doing for their anniversary this year. Celebrating 50 years of skiing, Park City Mountain Resort is admiring that history in a big way by protecting it. The proceeds will primarily go to the creation of the museum’s grand exhibit outlining the history of the town, called “Mines to Moguls.” Come enjoy the fantastic skiing found here at lower prices than ever and appreciate this town for the historical and cultural hotbed that it is.
