Located just at few miles from Kimball Junction and Park City, Canyons Ski Resort offers plenty of summer activities for you and your family. Given the fact that the Park City area is situated about 30 minutes from Salt Lake Airport, you can jump on a plane anywhere in the U.S., and enjoy a full day of fun activities at the mountain resort—all within the same day. When you think about it, no other ski resort in the country offers such easy access. With great discount rates on Park City lodging, along with summer packages, you can enjoy an entire weekend at the Canyons Resort at some rates that you won’t believe.

As one of the largest ski resorts in the country, Canyons Resort offers enough Park City summer activities and events to keep you going all day. Or, maybe all summer for that matter. Whether you like to dine outside, take a scenic gondola ride, or experience the thrill of a zip tour, Canyons offers some really fun activities for the summer.

Zip Tour

Starting from the Red Pine Lodge area at Canyons, you can experience an 800-foot descent down the mountain between Lookout Peak and Red Pine Lodge. Zip tours depart every 30 minutes from the base from 10:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. You can also take a fully-guide tour that lasts an hour.

Hike, Bike, or Take a Gondola Ride

Other mountain adventures include, mountain biking, hiking, and gondola rides.
Take a guided mountain tour where you’ll see some breathtaking scenery that includes quaking aspens, wildflowers, and wildlife. If you’re looking for a shorter hike with your kids, the Red Pine Nature trail is perfect for families. If you want a longer, more challenging hike, the Tombstone Trail is right up your alley.

Catch a panoramic view of Wasatch Mountains from a Gondola that takes you up to 8,000 feet above Park City. You can also take your mountain bike and enjoy a scenic ride down the mountain. You can purchase Gondola tickets between 9:30 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. every day.

Hot Air Balloon Rides

For something completely different, you and your loved ones can enjoy an amazing hot air balloon ride above the mountains. Enjoy views of Heber Valley, the Jordanelle Reservoir, the Provo River, and miles of mountains through unchartered territory.

When you think you’ve run out of things to do, the Canyons offers up putting courses, fishing, horseback riding, pedal boating, and white water rafting. With all the great discounts at the hotels, be sure to make a reservation soon, as they are filling up fast. Summer is the time to spend in Park City, and the Canyons offers endless activities for you and your family to enjoy.
