After a long day of skiing and snowboarding, you’ve worked up quite an appetite. How about some pizza? There are some great pizza places in Park City. Here are five spots (in alphabetical order) to help quench your appetite.

Davanza’s

Davanza’s has been serving the Park City area since 1979, and this casual,family-owned and operated pizza joint offers pizza, tacos, burgers, and their famous Philly cheesesteak. Try their house special pizza with sausage, olives, bell peppers, mushrooms, and olives. Open daily at 11 am. (690 Park Avenue; 435-649-2222)

Fuego Bistro and Pizzeria

Fuego offers Italian cuisine including wood-fired gourmet pizza. Try one of the house specialty pies: the Wasatch (with a blend of house-made honey tomato chipotle sauce, topped with mozzarella, pancetta, garlic, fresh pineapple, and cilantro) or the Jupiter Pie (olive oil, garlic, fresh spinach, sundried tomatoes, mozzarella, and feta). And try the Fuego Limon –a lemon cookie with white chocolate chips baked in the wood-fired oven topped with lemon gelato! Reservations encouraged. Maxwell’s

Maxwell’s offers “East Coast” pizza, as well as sandwiches, salads, lasagna, and eggplant parm. You may have seen them on Guy Fiori’s Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. For a little heat, try the Untouchable, with banana peppers, red bell peppers, jalapenos, and Italian sausage. Hours: Monday-Friday 11 am –12am, Saturday-Sunday 10 am –12 am. Park City Pizza Company

As straightforward as their name, Park City Pizza Company offers a straightforward pizza joint menu: pizzas, calzones, pasta, hot sandwiches and salads. Try their specials, the Park City Pizza (sausage, red onions, olives and mushrooms) or the Canyon (olive oil, light mozzarella, spinach, chicken, bacon, artichoke, jalapeno finished with garlic and parmesan). Owned and operated by locals here since 1985, this is a wholesome, relaxed pizza joint that you can take the kids to. Vinto

Vinto’s pizza is grilled in a wood-fired oven, giving it that authentic taste that pizza lovers crave. Try the Portobello Pizza, made with fontina, goat cheese, artichoke hearts, roasted portobello, crispy prosciutto di Parma, and balsamic reduction. And leave room for their house-made gelato and sorbetto. Hours: Monday-Thursday: noon –9:30pm, Friday & Saturday: noon –10pm, and Sunday from 4 pm to 9 pm. (900 Main Street; 435-615-9990).
