When visiting Park City, the first thing that comes to mind may not be lakes and waterfalls. However, there is a wealth of great waterways in and around the Park City area; read on for a look at some of our favorite Park City lakes and waterfalls.

 

Jordanelle Reservoir

Jordanelle Reservoir is just a few minutes from Park City. When you arrive at this gorgeous lake, you’ll find a full-service marina where you can rent all sorts of watercraft, including boats, jet skis, paddle boards, and more. There are picnic areas and even campgrounds for your enjoyment.

 

Deer Creek State Park and Reservoir

Deer Creek Reservoir is located in the southwest corner of the nearby Heber Valley and is a lovely year-round reservoir. You’ll find visitors enjoying windsurfing, fishing, and swimming. The surrounding areas are awesome locales for hiking and biking as well.

 

Echo Reservoir

Located just north of Coalville, 22 miles outside of Park City, Echo Reservoir is a wonderful venue for fishing, boating, swimming, hiking, and biking. This year round location also lets visitors go cross-country skiing and snowshoeing during the winter. The Weber River is a tributary, making it a great trout fishing site.

 

Rockport Reservoir

Rockport is a local favorite and offers all sorts of fun activities—from boating and fishing to just hanging out on the sandy beaches. You’ll also find several camp and picnic sites, as well as a boat launch and marina. Rockport is an easy 17-mile drive northeast of Park City.

Bridal Veil Falls

These gorgeous falls are just down Provo Canyon and offer spectacular views. The falls are most impressive during the spring thaws, although they are beautiful any time of year. You definitely do not want to forget your camera!
Cascade Springs

Located just west of Wasatch Mountain State Park on the Alpine Loop Scenic Byway is this oasis featuring deep pools, rushing waterfalls, and lush greenery. Enjoy the interpretive trails as you explore this hidden gem.
