Winter Solstice Electric Parade

To celebrate the shortest day of the year, Park City holds their Electric Parade in downtown. The parade features cars and trucks covered in Christmas lights. The cars start at City Park and make their way up Park Avenue to Main Street. The parade is free to attend but make sure to bring plenty of hot cocoa and blankets to stay warm. This year’s winter solstice is on Friday, December 21. The parade begins at 6 p.m.

 

IBSF Para World Cup

On December 15 – 16 the best para bobsled athletes in the world will gather at Park City’s Olympic Park for the IBSF Para World Cup. All of the events are free to attend. The weekend will also include a youth skeleton competition and a youth monobob competition.

 

Sundance Film Festival

Park City is also known as the home of the world-famous Sundance Film Festival. Every winter thousands of people flock to the city for the festival which stretches out over 15 theaters in the area. This year’s festival will be held from January 24 – February 3. Tickets can be purchased on the institute’s website.

 

Park City Food Tour

Since so many people visit Park City each year, the city has built itself as a world-class food spot. The tour will take you down historic Main Street which is known for its excellent restaurants, boutiques, and art galleries. The tour will take you to several restaurants where you will get a taste of the city’s unique cuisine. Tickets are $80, and the tours start at 4 p.m. and usually end around 7 p.m.
