When visiting Park City for the first time, or even if you’re a regular visitor returning year after year, there are a few things and activities you might want to put on your bucket list. These are some of our favorite “must-do” Park City activities.

Catch the First Chair

There’s nothing better than waking up to bright blue skies and brand new snow. It gets even better if you are on the first chair up the mountain and you get to be the one to make those first tracks in “The Greatest Snow on Earth!” It is truly a memorable and exhilarating way to start your ski day!

Do Some Mountain Dining

During the summer, outdoor dining is the way to go. Whether you hang out on a patio or a deck on Main Street, or enjoy the annual Savor the Summit festival, the food tastes better when consumed in the fresh, mountain air!

Stroll Main Street

Sure, you’ve heard all about Main Street, with its shops, restaurants and bars, but you should definitely take some time out to really see it and enjoy the Park City activities there. Start at the bottom and take your time window shopping or browsing the many stores. Stop for lunch at one of the tasty eateries and continue. Stroll up one side of the street and go down the other! It really is a lot of fun!

Check Out Olympic History at This Park City Activity!

At the Utah Olympic Park, you can not only see what went on during the 2002 Olympics, but you can also race a bobsled down the track or even take a turn on the zipline or alpine slide. You can also see the ski jumpers training; they train all year round.

Attend a Festival or Two

Of course, you’ve heard about the Sundance Film Festival, the biggest festival in town. There are also other terrific events throughout the year. For instance, during the fall, you can catch bright balloons filling the skies at Autumn Aloft, or maybe stroll Main Street to see all the artists during the Kimball Arts Festival. And if you’re here during the summer, catch the 4th of July or Miner’s Day parades! You can even catch the pancake breakfast or 5K runs that are part of the town’s celebration.
