Aaaaah, a day on the slopes! You’ve shushed down the gorgeous mountains of Park City, and now you’re ready for a little après ski fun! There’s certainly no lack of things to do in the area after the lifts close.

Check out the Locals’ Favorites

There are many local hotspots favored by locals. Among the favorites is the No Name Saloon. This rustic spot is a favorite among the younger crowd; however, anyone of any age can enjoy the casual, welcoming feeling of this bar. Enjoy unique menu offerings such as the buffalo burger, while gazing at the mining and Western memorabilia adorning the walls and ceilings.

Another casual favorite is the Spur Bar & Grill. Inside the bar, you’ll enjoy comfy seating, warm fireplaces, and soft lighting. Your bartender can whip up yummy favorites such as hot-buttered rum or offer you your favorite wines and spirits. You can even enjoy live entertainment provided by local and regional bands.

The High West Distillery and Saloon is the first (and only) ski-in distiller and salon. High West specializes in whiskeys, but they also produce some very fine vodkas. The bartenders offer unique cocktails created with the distillery’s best spirits, which pair well with the gastro-pub cuisine.

For something a bit more upscale, tuck yourself into the Troll Hallen Lounge at Stein Eriksen Lodge. You’ll find that this is a charming, quiet lodge that is the epitome of the mountain lodge après ski experience. Warm up in front of the roaring fire while sipping your favorite cocktail. Enjoy a nibble from the menu that includes shrimp deviled eggs, Maine mussels, and Swiss Raclette.

Another Deer Valley favorite is the St. Regis Hotel. You can enjoy a cozy funicular ride to the grill, owned and operated by celebrated chef Jean-Georges Vongerichen. Did you know the Bloody Mary was actually invented at the first St. Regis Hotel in New York in 1934? Well, today each St. Regis hotel offers its own version of the famed beverage, and Deer Valley is no exception. This version uses a High West vodka, and is adorned with a cap of celery and wasabi mousse. But, the crowning glory is the squeeze-bulb filled with Tabasco and Worcestershire that lets you give your drink your own level of spiciness.

Other wonderful après ski activities include bowling a few frames at the Jupiter Bowl, taking in a live theatre performance at the Egyptian Theatre or even enjoying a stroll through the historic Park City Museum.

There’s certainly no lack of après ski fun and delights in Park City. You might just find yourself enjoy more than one or two on any given day!
