We all understand that many people come to Park City to enjoy the great snow! However, some of those people may not be as advanced or experienced on the slopes as others. Here’s a look at some of the best beginner ski slopes at our area resorts.

All of the areas offer great beginner terrain, and are home to wide, open trails and slopes that offer beginners a great experience.

At Deer Valley, you’ll find trails that have been carefully groomed, including the popular Wide West, located just off the Burns and Snowflake chairs at the Snow Park base area. Other great beginner runs include Silver Strike, Stirling, and the runs off of Ruby and Lady Morgan Express lifts.

Park City Mountain

With the combination of Park City Mountain Resort and Canyons Resort, the resulting ski area — Park City Mountain — offers a plethora of wonderful beginner runs. Check out the First Time Lift and the Magic Carpet run — both of which are favorites among beginners. Enjoy the long, easy Homerun slope that actually goes for about 3.5 miles right into downtown Park City. It’s a perfect ending for a day of skiing! If you are looking for a run to gain more confidence and speed, check out the Drift trail.

From the Canyons base area, the Red Pine Gondola is perfect for beginners, and offers a tree-filled surrounding. If you are just starting out, the Sweet Pea Magic Carpet is a great way to get your legs under you! It’s located just behind the Red Pine Lodge. You can also try the gentle, wide High Meadow area.

All of these ski areas offer great beginner slopes that can easily get you started on the transition to more difficult, intermediate slopes.

One of the best ways to enjoy the beginner slopes at these resorts is to schedule a few lessons. All the resorts off both group and private lessons to help you achieve the skills that will soon have you shushing down the slopes. Taking lessons will take the frustration out of trying to do it yourself!

If you are interested in learning more about our area ski slopes, just ask one of our friendly concierge staff at Park City Rental Properties. We can even help you get your lift tickets, as well as setting up some ski lessons for your entire group — whether you want beginner or advanced classes.
