Park City Pride
Help Park City celebrate the LGBTQ community here in Utah by participating in this year’s Park City Pride. You will find a Pride festival in most larger cities each year but Park City really turns up the fun. Park City Pride is an apres ski event that is complete with a live DJ, welcome party, Jupiter Peak pride hike, and of course the pride parade.
Skiers are able to hit up Park City Mountain for some fun skiing down slopes of all difficulty levels. There will also be an art display and auction that supports LGBTQ artists. Park City Pride will take place this February 27th and 28th at Park City Mountain.
Park City Powderfest
Most individuals have known someone out there who has dealt with cancer. Unfortunately, it continues to harm our loved ones with millions impacted each year. This spring, you can help raise funds for cancer research by taking part in Park City Powderfest. Huntsman Cancer Institute is bringing the community together to help fund cancer research with this exciting spring event. Park City Powderfest will take place on March 11th this year at Canyons Village at Park City Mountain.
You can hit the slopes of Park City Mountain surrounded by a caring community that also wishes to see an end to cancer. Additional activities for the event will also include a live DJ, apres skiing at the base of the mountain, a Spring Gruv concert, and endless costumes to help bring a smile to the faces of children dealing with cancer. Don’t forget to donate to this incredible cause and take part in Park City Powderfest.
Note: This event has been discontinued.
Oakley Week
The spring season still sees Park City Mountain covered in snow so you can expect a variety of events in Park City that involve skiing. Oakley Week will be taking place at the mountain from Thursday, March 23rd through Sunday, March 26th. Oakley will be on hand all weekend long providing additional fun at the mountain.
Enjoy a goggles demo at Mountain Village, contests, Lens of the Day, Oakley Terrain Park takeover, live music and DJ, a snow safety clinic, and much more. You will find some exciting apres fun all weekend long. Don’t miss out on Oakley Week here in Park City!
Park City Pond Skim
Some Park City locals don’t believe that spring has officially started until the Park City Pond Skim has occurred. This annual event lets contestants traverse a 100-foot pond with a snowboard or pair of skis. Most people will fall in and is all part of the fun. Prizes are given away for the biggest splash along with giveaways and an incredible party. This year will only have 100 registration spots so make sure to sign up early.
The Town Series Finale, featuring a community Pond Skim at the Utah Olympic Park, is scheduled for April 4, 2026, to celebrate the end of the competitive spring series.
Anticipated Season Closing at Park City Mountain
Park City has one of the longest ski seasons in the country at Park City Mountain and the closing date will occur during the spring season. Due to unseasonably warm temperatures, Park City Mountain concluded its winter operations earlier than the originally planned mid-April date. The Mountain Village base area closed on March 29, followed by the final closing of Canyons Village on April 5, 2026.
In years past the closing date has occurred in early to middle April. Just because you are visiting on the last day of the season does not mean you will not find a great skiing experience. Park City Mountain maintains its slopes for optimal skiing and snowboarding. Come experience this final day this spring!
