During these wonderfully warm summer days, you may be looking for fun ways to “beat the heat!” You’re in luck: Park City is a great place to find activities that can keep you “cool!” Check out some of our favorite Park City activities below.
Tubing/Rafting
Park City is situated near two fantastic rivers—the Weber and the Provo. When you go on a float adventure, you’ll be floating down the river watching the flora and fauna go by. If you’re rafting, you might be spending some time in the white waters or just gently sailing down the river. There are many different rental and excursion companies that will rent you tubes or take you on a guided raft trip.
On these gorgeous waterways, you can try your hand at a Park City favorite: fly fishing. Both of these rivers are considered blue ribbon fishing areas and are home to large populations of rainbow and brown trout. Again, there are several guide companies available that can take you to the best areas.
Paddleboarding and More
Take a short drive to the Jordanelle Reservoir and visit the Jordanelle Rentals and Marina. You can find a number of different great ways to enjoy the water including standup paddleboarding, sailing, jet skiing and more! Take a picnic and enjoy the scenery from the shore between ventures out on the water.
Splash Pads/Pools
Go out to the Basin Recreation Fieldhouse and let the kids enjoy a fantastic splash pad to cool off! You might even want to enjoy this cooling activity yourself. You can also take advantage of the new pool at the Rec Center!
Shopping / Stroll the Galleries
What’s better than visiting all those wonderful air-conditioned shops and galleries all along Main Street? Pick up a souvenir or two, or some awesome artwork. Of course, stop in for a bite to eat or a drink at one of the fabulous eateries or bars. Many of these establishments have outdoor patios where you can watch the people go by as you enjoy a tasty meal.
Boating
