Take a Scenic Chair Lift Ride
During the winter season you will taking the chairlifts at Park City Mountain countless times to reach the slopes. It is always an exciting time riding the chairlift with your legs hanging down over the treetops. Riding the chair lift is not a winter only experience and should also be enjoyed during the summer. Head on over to Park City Mountain where you can continue to ride the chair lifts and get an incredible view of the valley.
You will be taken to the top of the mountain where once was winter slopes is now outdoor terrain that can be hiked and explored. The Crescent Express and Payday lifts serve as the primary summer gateways, offering easy access to over 450 miles of public trails for hikers and bikers.
Explore Summer Attractions at Park City Mountain
Another great way to spend some time at Park City Mountain during the summer is by checking out the other attractions in the area. You can hop on for a ride on the Mountain Coaster.
This thrilling experience features nearly 4,000 feet of elevated track, making it the longest mountain coaster in Utah. You will be flying back at 25 mph while enjoying the fresh mountain air.
The Alpine Slide is another great attraction that is open for the summer season. This is a luge like track that is over 3,000 feet in length making it one of the longest slides in the entire world. You will ride on down the track at high flying speeds. Park City Mountain also has tons of other fun too that will take you up to the tree tops. Hop on the ZipRider, a zip line track that has you flying down at high speeds from an elevation of 110 feet!
The Flying Eagle Zip Line is the perfect alternative for smaller children. Additional outdoor activities also include rock climbing, mini golf, mountain biking, and so much more. As you can see Park City Mountain has just as much fun in the summer as it does in the winter!

Go Paddle Boarding
If you need to cool off with some time on the water you will be pleasantly surprised to find spots in Park City where you can go paddle boarding. Head to the Deer Valley Pebble Beach at the Jordanelle Reservoir. It is a premier spot for calm-water paddling within a short drive of the main resort area.
The best spot in town to get a paddleboard rental is over at Park City SUP. They offer a variety of equipment for you to rent for the day along with introductory lessons that are perfect for those who have never paddle boarded before. This is a great summer activity right in Park City!
Golfing
The summer season is also a great time to hit the fairway and enjoy a round of golf. You will find that Park City Golf Course is right here in the city limits. This municipal 18-hole course has beautiful fairways and even better views of the mountains in the background.
You can easily book a tee time allowing you to spend a few hours on the green. Introductory lessons are also available at the course helping you perfect your swing or introducing the little ones to the sport. stop by the pro shop on your way out to browse through top of the line golf gear.
Fly Fishing
You can really cool off when you are standing knee deep in the local rivers and streams going fly fishing. Join the fun by trying your hand at reeling up a trophy size catch. Park City on the Fly offers half day and full day fishing trips where all the gear and licenses are provided to you. This is a great way to enjoy fishing without bringing all of your gear from home.
Pro-Tip: Local rivers like the Provo and Weber are Blue Ribbon designated. Booking your guide at least three weeks in advance is recommended during the peak July and August window.
