Visit the Park City Museum
When it comes to Park City, most individuals know it as a vacation destination. Park City features tons of outdoor activities and attractions to explore during all seasons. Whether you want to go skiing in the winter or kayaking in the summer, there is something for you here to enjoy. What many people may not know about Park City is its historical roots.
Park City was developed in 1868 after silver was found in the area. The city became a mining boom town and the rest, they say, is history. You can learn all about Park City’s rich history by spending some time at the Park City Museum. This perfectly sized museum is located downtown and is inviting any day of the week. Step inside the original 1885 Territorial Jail located in the basement or explore the two story ‘Mega-Mine’ exhibit to see how silver was actually extracted.
You will find each topic to be engaging and keep you hooked from start to finish. Come visit the Park City Museum located at 528 Main Street in downtown. The museum is open daily from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Try Out Spirits from High West Distillery
When it comes to great cocktails and just straight up good whiskey you cannot go wrong with High Distillery. You may have seen their spirits at your local grocery store. High West Distillery is located right here in Park City with two different locations for you to visit. A rainy day is the perfect occasion to go whiskey sampling and try out some delicious food. If that sounds like a great time, make sure you stop by the saloon location here in Park City.
The saloon offers curated sampling flights featuring their signature blends like Rendezvous Rye, Campfire, and limited seasonal releases. You can also order a variety of beers and wines along with handcrafted cocktails made to order. The cuisine at the saloon restaurant will easily pair with any whiskey of your choosing. Entrees include the fish and chips, rocky mountain trout, bison burger, schnitzel, gulf shrimp chowder, and much more. The saloon is open daily from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM and is for individuals ages 21 and up.
The primary distilling location can be found in Wanship approximately 20 minutes outside of Park City. This location allows all ages and is a great place to join a distilling tour!
Browse an Art Gallery
