Mountain Biking at Deer Valley

Whether you’re a mountain biking pro or a first-timer, our town is the place to be this summer if you want to do some mountain biking in Park City. According to the International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA), Park City is the best place in the world to mountain bike. With that said, IMBA has awarded Park City as the only Gold Level Rider Center, putting it ahead of amazing locations like: Taupo, New Zealand; Livigno, Italy; and Oakridge Oregon.

Why is Park City the Best for Mountain Biking?

Between the fresh mountain air, the countless hiking and biking trails, the three world class mountain resorts, and the fun town and culture, it is not too hard to understand why Park City, Utah is the best place to hop on a seat and start pedaling. At this beautiful Utah community, guests and residents have access to over 400 miles of hiking/biking trails right at their fingertips. Many of the best trails are accessible throughout the three mountain resorts: Park City Mountain Resort, Deer Valley Mountain Resort, and Canyons Resort. At each of these resorts, the lifts will be running for scenic and transportation purposes. Guests will be able to connect their bike to the lift and sit back and relax until they reach the top of the slope. From this point guests can choose a path and have smooth or rough riding (depending on preference) all the way back down through their selected trail.

If you are unfamiliar with the trails or just biking in general, do not worry! Park City would not be considered the best mountain biking location in the world if it did not know how to accommodate for everyone. For those who are new to biking, many local organizations provide helpful lessons with well-trained instructors who will teach you everything you need to know on how to stay safe and have fun on the trails. Maps and guided bike tours are also available.
