Annual 4th of July Celebration & Fireworks 

The biggest 4th of July celebration you will find anywhere close to Park City is our Annual 4th of July Celebration & Fireworks event. This annual event is one of the biggest 4th of July celebrations in the state and is gearing up to be our biggest one yet this summer. All of the fun and excitement starts with the 4th of July Parade taking over Historic Main Street. This extravagant parade sees local businesses coming up with patriotic floats that take to the street. The parade will last for approximately one hour and march throughout downtown. The remainder of the day’s activities will take place over at Park City Mountain Village starting at 3:00 PM. You and your family can enjoy complimentary activities such as a live DJ set or purchase incredible BBQ from Mountain BBQ. Memphis McCool will take the stage at 5:00 PM for a musical set including soul and groove influences. The Soulistics take over at 7:30 PM and are a remarkable local band that will have you up and moving around in no time. Additional food and adult beverages will be available for purchase all throughout the event. The Annual 4th of July Celebration & Fireworks will come to a close at dusk with one of the biggest fireworks displays you have ever seen. Expect to be blown away at the number of fireworks that will be used for this incredible event.

Outdoor Summer Adventures 

While the Annual 4th of July Celebration & Fireworks event is enough to make anyone want to visit Park City for the holiday there will be plenty more to do as well. Well, this year, prepare for an Independence Day that will go one step further, and knock your socks clean off! 2019 4th of July in Park City celebrations are going to be wholly traditional and full of fun for your entire family, young and old alike.

 

Morning Madness

Power up for a long day of merrymaking with a delicious pancake breakfast at 7am down at City Park. Then proceed to immediately work off those calories by tying your shoelaces and participating in the Cole Sport 5K Fun Run. The race starts at 8am, so work up some appetite and excitement for the day ahead, while also benefitting the Park City Ski Team, the town’s Olympic hopefuls!

 

Family Fun

Don’t miss the traditional 4th of July in Park City Parade down Main Street! This starts right at 11am, and you’ll want to get there early to cop those front row seats. (Parking is limited, so it’s better to bike or walk to this historic area.) Everyone can enjoy the excitement of a loud and proud parade marching down the street, spilling over with happy families and spectators.

Head on back to City Park at noon for a barbecue lunch and other refreshments, and perhaps watch the volleyball tournament or one of the scheduled rugby games! Live music will play all day, and kids will have lots of activities to take part in too. As dusk falls, ready yourself for the city fireworks show, the finale that brings an epic day to a fantastic end.

 

Rodeo

For a slightly different way to celebrate, think of hitting up the Oakley Rodeo, located close to Park City at the Oakley Recreation Center. They put on a full four-day event, stretching Independence Day into Independence Week, from July 3rd to July 6th. You can watch fireworks each evening at 8pm here, after a rip-roarin’ rodeo show. July 4th even includes the Junior Rodeo, in case any of the kids want to try their hand at this rural past time!

Start the day off right with a pancake breakfast. City Park is the venue for this annual breakfast, and for a small fee you and your family can enjoy breakfast favorites including pancakes, bacon, and other breakfast staples.

 

5K Mountain Fun Run

This annual Fun Run is sponsored by Cole Sport and is a great way to start the day. This race is a benefit for the Park City Ski Team and is a fun race for runners of all ages and abilities. Your registration fees include a T-shirt, and there will also be giveaways and prizes.

 

Traditional Park City 4th of July Parade

This annual favorite starts at the top of Main Street and winds its way to City Park and will include floats, bands, horses, and so much more Park City flavor. The parade starts and 11 a.m. and you won’t want to miss the fly-over by jets from Hill Air Force Base.

 

City Park Celebration

After the parade, join the crowds in City Park for a day filled with live music, rugby games, food, and a lot of fun! Festivities start at 10 a.m. and continue throughout the day.

 

Old Fashioned Rodeo

Travel just a few miles to Oakley and enjoy a 4th of July rodeo complete with rodeo queens, bronco bustin’, roping, and all the festivities! And of course, there’s plenty of food and drink to enjoy!

 

Don’t Forget the Fireworks!

Did you think there wouldn’t be fireworks? Of course, there’s plenty of fireworks displays throughout the area! Both Park City Mountain Resort and the Canyons will shoot off plenty of fireworks starting at dusk.

Park City Events

Sit back, relax, and enjoy a live concert in the cool mountain air. Take in the excitement of Park City’s Fourth of July parade along historic Main Street. But that’s not all. You can join in on a 5K run, watch Rugby, see the rodeo, and eat a pancake breakfast.

Breakfast begins at 7:00 a.m. on Friday, July 4 in the City Park. The cost is $7.00 for adults and $5.00 for children.

Maybe you’ll need to save breakfast until later, as the 5K run begins at Cole Sport at 8:00 a.m. sharp, and you should pre-register for the race by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 3.

You’ll never run out of things to do after the race. Throughout the day (between 10:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m.), you and your family will enjoy Rugby games, live music, the famous parade, and rodeos.

Park City kicks off its Main Street parade at 11:00 a.m., and you can observe seventy different floats that commemorate the resort’s rich history. After the parade, head for City Park where you’ll enjoy plenty of fun activities, including food, live music, beer gardens, games, and plenty of other activities for your children.

 

4th of July Fireworks

Don’t miss the fireworks at dusk from Park City Mountain Resort (PCMR). This year, the ski resort has extended its hours from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. in order to give you more time to have fun. Zip down the mountain at breakneck speeds on the Alpine Coaster or fly through the air on the ZipRider. The lifts are open, so you can take a ride to the mountain and enjoy the view. PCMR has literally hundreds of miles of hiking/biking trails as well.

If you want to get an early start on the July 4 weekend, head to Canyons resort (located by Kimball Junction) to enjoy a weekend of live music, fireworks, and more fun. The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. in the Resort Village, and fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m. Here’s the best part: It’s all free!

Put on your cowboy hat and take a ride to Oakley for their 80th Annual rodeo where you can witness real cowboys, clowns, and bucking broncos.

In the spirit of July 4, you might want to take part in the sounds and humor of the Texas Tenors from America’s Got Talent. The Tenors offer a unique variety of patriotic songs, gospel, and good old country music.
