Oktoberfest! At Roadhouse Grill
Each year the start of the fall season is followed by Oktoberfest. This annual celebration takes place all over the world and is celebrated by millions of people. Oktoberfest is a giant celebration that highlights the German and Bavarian food and drinks that is a joy to have during the fall season. Oktoberfest celebrations also involve all kinds of activities that the children can join in on too.
Park City has its own mini Oktoberfest taking place at Squatters Roadhouse Grill, one of the many Wasatch Brewery locations, this fall season. Instead of finding a giant celebration that closes down streets, this Oktoberfest is a more intimate affair that focuses on the delicious food that Oktoberfest brings with it. Specifically, guests will be able to enjoy beer braised bratwurst specials and discounted draft beers during their seasonal ‘Bratober Fest’ Tuesdays.
The adults in the group can enjoy draft beer at a discount too such as festbier and other Oktoberfest favorites. A meal at this annual event will be especially wallet-friendly and leave you satisfied with all of the traditional German flavors. Bratober Fest! will take place every Tuesday from August 16th through October 25th from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM.
Park Silly Sunday Market
Get out and explore the lovely Park Silly Sunday Market the next time you visit Park City. This incredible farmers market focuses on local artists and farmers with specialty produce and wares. Park Silly Sunday Market is featured downtown and provides you with everything. Purchase some produce and locally sourced protein to make for an incredible meal back at your vacation rental.
Shop the local vendors to find a perfect gift to bring to a loved one back home. There is so much to choose from you can easily spend hours here. Park Silly Sunday Market runs on select Sundays from June 7th through September 27th, 2026 (excluding most of late July and early August) and is free to attend.
Halloween Fun Run
The fall season also features one of our favorite holidays: Halloween! Each year Park City celebrates Halloween with tons of trick-or-treating activities for the kids. You will also find local businesses to be decorated for the theme too. Many of the families who make their way to Park City are typically active and enjoy outdoor activities. This Halloween, join the race for the Halloween Fun Run taking place on October 17th, 2026.
Like all other fun runs this event is designed to have a fun time as you and your family try to hit your best time. Of course with Halloween being the theme you best expect some delightful makeup and costumes donned by other participants during the race. Join in on the fun and put on your best costume and try out the race for yourself!
Howl-o-ween on Main
Of course, the day of Halloween itself is also celebrated here in Historic Park City through the downtown neighborhoods too. Local businesses are always excited to decorate their business and join in on the fun. Each Halloween Day, Historic Park City Alliance hosts their Howl-o-ween on Main for a thrilling time. This annual event invites all costumed children to trick or treat downtown Historic Main Street from local businesses.
Costumes for adults and friendly canine companions are always encouraged too. You can feel safe knowing that your children are trick or treating nearby from trusted members of the community. The dog parade is another popular aspect of the event that lets leashed costumed dogs and their owners strut around showing off their looks. Over 200 businesses participate in Howl-o-ween on Main and is always a special treat for families.
Howl-o-ween on Main takes place Saturday, October 31st, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Historic Main Street. Note that Main Street closes to vehicles starting at 2:00 PM. Make sure to play transportation accordingly as many local streets will be closed for the event before and after it starts.
