Often, people ask about our summers here in Park City. Well, I can tell you that they are some of the best around. Park City offers mild temperatures, cool evenings, and some of the best weather in the country. It’s a rare day where you will find yourself saying, “It’s way too hot here.”
Because of our exceptional weather, there are plenty of summer activities you can enjoy in your next Park City summer vacation!
Hiking and Biking
Park City boasts some of the best hiking and biking trails in the state. The Mountain Trails Foundation offers a map of all the trails. Pick one up at our office and head out to explore our mountains!
You can also enjoy lift-served mountain biking at the resorts. Imagine a quick ride up the mountain on the chairlift and the thrilling ride down! It is not to be missed by any biking enthusiast.
Explore Main Street
When you take the day to explore Historic Main Street, you’ll get a true “feel” of our lovely town. You’ll find everything from high-end boutiques to cozy T-shirt shops, galleries, and so much more. There are wonderful restaurants and bars to get to know. In fact, we suggest doing this the first day you are here, so you can immerse yourself in the flavors of our town.
Get Some Thrills
At Park City Mountain Resort, check out the Alpine Slide where you will glide down a winding track set right on the mountain. It is a wonderful family activity. At the Olympic Park, you can even take a bobsled ride where you’ll be zooming down the same track used during the 2002 Winter Olympics.
Take to The Links
Because of our altitude and cool weather, golfing at any of our wonderful courses will be a delight. There are plenty of courses, both public and private, that you can test your skills. You might even find that your ball flies farther because of the altitude!
Hot Air Balloon Rides
Soar high above the land in a colorful balloon. This is a terrific way to explore the area at 12,000 feet. There are plenty of balloon companies who can take you up, up, and away!
